What is Listia?
I feel this post should be the first one here just as an introduction of what this site is and some guidelines to follow when using this site. I’ll reference to this post every time that someone asks me, “what is Listia?”
Listia is an auction website similar to Ebay, except instead of dealing with real money, people just deal in credits. People sell items for credits and other people buy items for credits. Everyone starts with 500 credits and can buy what they want for free. Alternatively, people can either buy or do offers for credits if they really need them.
That’s the description the site will give you, but there are other things that you have to know how to make money on Listia
These are some of the guidelines to follow when on Listia. But these guidelines are just if you want to sell your unwanted items, and buy some stuff that you want or little trinkets and such. But if you want to buy a high value item for a low credit amount, there are more to know. If you want to know how to make money through Listia, click the link below!

- Not everything is free. Some items require you to pay for shipping whether it be exact or flat rate. A majority accept Paypal, but some only accept money order or concealed cash. People who sign up doesn’t look for items with free/no shipping and bid on auctions that require shipping because they sell for less.
- Buying credits is a bad idea. It is extremely overpriced to buy credits, if you put the same amount of money, but in a method in a later post, you can almost instantly get 2-3 times the amount of credits you would get from buying them.
- There are a lot of scams/false listings. Kids as young as like 9 years old sign up for the site with no intention of shipping and want the credits for listing an auction. Avoid these auctions.
- Do not make bad investments. I feel sorry for people spending $2-$3 on shipping when they get around 500 credits, there are better investments out there that can get you 2000-3000 credits that require no shipping.
